Wrangler Jeans are manufactured by a company that is more than 100 years old. Wrangler Jean Co. is owned by the VF Corporation, who also owns dozens of other brands, such as Lee, The North Face, and JanSport. The companys headquarters are located in Greensboro, North Carolina, with many production plants all over the world.
People have often wondered how Wrangler Jeans got its claim to fame with the rodeo. Wrangler Jeans were first made by Blue Bell, who acquired the brand when it took over Casey Jones in the mid 1940s. Blue Bell hired a man by the name of Bernard Lichtenstein, who was a Polish tailor to help design jeans that would be good for using during rodeos. Lichtenstein worked closely with cowboys often, and was considered the clothing expert.

From Lichtenstein and his knowledge of the rodeo and the design of jeans that were needed came the birth of Wrangler Jeans. The first style, the 13MWZ style is still available worldwide, and was first introduced in 1947. Wrangler Jeans since has expanded to produce several other lines that cater to specific demographic groups. These lines include Riggs, Aura for women, and 20X. In addition, Wrangler Jeans also has a complete line of accessories for music that is geared towards country music fans.

The parent company of Wrangler Jeans, the VF Corporation, is structured by coalitions, like the Imagewear Coalition, the Sportswear Coalition, and the Jeanswear Coalition. The Jeanswear coalition consists of Wrangler Jeans, 20X, RIGGS Workwear, Lee, Riders, Brittania, and Rustler. Although the parent company of Wrangler Jeans is best known for its jeans and has expanded to make everything from shoes to coats, the company started out as a glove and mitten manufacturer.

A man named John Barbey opened a factory in 1899 in Reading, PA. The company added undergarments to its list of items in 1919 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1966. The company didnt get into the denim business until 1969 when it bought H.D. Lee Jeans. That same year, the company changed its name from Vanity Fair Mills to the VF Corporation to lessen the emphasization of the underwear line.

In 1986, the parent of Wrangler Jeans made a giant move when it bought Blue Bell. By doing this, the company doubled its size and added Rustler Jeans, Wrangler Jeans, JanSport backpacks, and Jantzen swimwear to what was by then an incredibly diverse line of products and goods.

The Secrets Of A Chanel 2.55 Handbag

Recently I was fortunate to visit the exhibition The Secrets of the Chanel Handbag held at Chanels New York flagship store on 57th St it was only on for a limited run from May 8-16 (I am hoping that the exhibition will travel and visit us in London! The exhibit demonstrated the construction and history of the companys iconic 2.55 bags. The exhibition had 7 flat screen TVs, each screen showed the 7 steps in making the handbag, (cut, quilting, assembly, shaping, turning out, chain and leather, packing) it was all fascinating and mesmerizing! Basically the cutting and stitching is all done by specially designed machine tools and 80% of the total production time is spent on the prep work involving over 180 stages. Once all the components are prepped up all the pieces are then put together by hand by Chanels own master craftsmen which involve over 10 hours skilled work. The bags are sewn together inside out and then it was passed onto the next person who specialized in delicately turning them back out – in keeping with Mademoiselle Chanels firm belief in the importance of hidden luxury: the inside should be as good as the outside. As a result, the same amount of care still goes into the lining of each bag as goes into its exterior. Once the bag is put together they then screw in all the hardware and grommets etc. The chain was made last and when the bag was finished it was dusted and polished before beautifully wrapping it in tissue paper and dust bag.

The CHANEL classic handbag was the first to be worn and not hand held since the role of women was changing the traditional handbags at the time were too impractical. As a result the shoulder strap made its debut in the world of fashion.

I didnt see other archive bags through I think that would have been really cool to have seen the very first CHANEL 2.55! Or maybe it would look how it is today or how much would it have been worth???

Today the Chanel 2.55 purse is just as much an It bag as it always was. In 2005, in celebration of the bag’s 50th anniversary, Lagerfeld revived the design exactly as Mademoiselle Chanel had made it, and the reissue proved even more popular than its original. Lagerfeld named the iconic interlocking double C look Mademoiselle Lock as Chanel never married.

Make Your Clothing And Fabric Photos Really Sell

As a fashion seller you know that the appearance of your products on the webpage is absolutely critical to making the sale. The same rule is true, even if your claim to fashion sales is a series of eBay ads for those large size clothes that you never want to see again.

Clothing is very tricky to photograph well because the fabric and detailing can create shadows in unflattering places and the material is generally subject to problems such as wrinkling. Here are some tips for working with clothing photography on flat surfaces (versus live models or mannequins).

First of all, learn from the masters. Some of the best flat clothing catalogs are LL Bean and The Gap. Page through their catalogs and look for items that are similar to yours in order to get some tips for how to pose the clothes. Notice the way that they use or eliminate shadows. Notice whether or not they have used props such as some filling inside a sweater to get the right look.

Next, set up your lighting and photography arrangement. You can photograph small pieces on a table top but for anything larger, you should plan to place sheeting or background material on the floor and position your camera above. Many tripods have an arm that extends out past the tripod, allowing you to twist your attached camera downward.

Choose soft lighting that is projected from both sides of your clothing item. You may want to use diffusers to avoid any harsh shadows.

Look over the clothing to be sure that there are no hanging threads or loose buttons. Use a steamer to remove any wrinkles. You can use an iron but you run the risk of either causing a burn or ironing in wrinkles instead of removing them.

You may need to pin clothes onto the background to get them to stay in the exact shape that you want to photograph. You can also try using cotton batting or tissue paper to fill in pleats or shoulders to get a natural looking draping effect.

True color is very important to clothing photography. You may need to adjust your cameras white balance to avoid picking up colors cast by the artificial lighting. Most sources of artificial light have some sort of color associated with them.

For example, incandescent light bulbs cast a yellowish light and fluorescent light bulbs are greenish. In order to make the correction, switch to your cameras manual adjust mode. Then look for the feature labeled WB for white balance. You will probably see a cloud icon for cloudy days, a light bulb for incandescent light and a glowing tube for fluorescent light. Choose the icon that represents your shooting situation.

If you are selling a brand new piece of clothing on eBay, be sure to get the attached price tag in the photo as evidence of newness. If you are photographing shoes, be sure to take pictures from several angles including the soles of the shoes to give your customer a complete picture of the product.
